Creating a Haven: What Homemaking Means to Me
When I think about homemaking, I think about more than just having clean counters and cooked meals. I think about the atmosphere in the home, the warmth, safety, and love. I think about living in a way that honors God and how you steward the gifts He’s entrusted to you. I think about cultivating a home that nurtures, protects, and reflects the heart of God to everyone. This calling doesn’t always come with applause or appreciation, but it's an important and powerful position. As a wife and mom, it's my role and responsibility to create a haven for my family. A place where my family can breathe, feel seen and heard, feel safe and secure, and grow in their faith. I didn’t grow up with that kind of environment. But now, I get to break cycles and rewrite my story by creating the kind of home I’ve always wanted.
